Article Guidelines and Terms and Conditions for submitting to IED

These summarized guidelines will let you know what we generally accept in our database.

Your Article, Video or other Resource collectively known as "Content" may be acceptable if the content meets the following conditions:

  1. You wrote the content. If you hired someone else to write the content, you must own the exclusive license that permits only your name to be associated with the content submitted. If you are submitting on behalf of an author (an employee or contractor for the author) please submit the article as if it was from the author (name, credits etc).
  2. You own the content. You are legally entitled to distribute the content and allow the content to be redistributed. You grant IED unlimited rights to promote and market the content submitted on IED and other websites that may promote the author. Whenever the authors content is displayed, the author's crediting information will also be displayed to ensure the author receives the full benefit from the use of their content.
  3. The content is informative and useful. You use proper English, spelling and grammar.
  4. The content is not a press release, sales letter, have excessive self promotion or be Private Label Rights (PLR) content.
  5. The content does not contain contact or excessive information about you or your company. Please use the author credit area for this type of information.
  6. The content cannot contain profanity, pornography or adult material, in violation of any law, considered defamatory or infringes on the legal rights of others.
  7. Unique Content. While we prefer every article posted to be unique, we also realize that creating unique content is not always possible for various reasons. Consider re-writing a portion (s) of your content to create unique content. Bottom line is we welcome good content whether unique or not as we want our members to have access to the best information possible.

Before you submit an article, video, podcast or other resource, please read the detailed article terms and conditions. All content is reviewed by IED before content is published. Not all submissions are published. If your content is rejected, please do not stop submitting other content. Acceptance is based on a number of content and editorial requirements and may not necessarily reflect on your writing abilities. When time permits we may advise you by email the reasons for not publishing your content.

Members and other experts can search articles by category and by keyword. Members can also view articles directly from an experts listing in the expert directory.
